Websites can be fun to create and they are an exciting step in your
professional career. We often get overwhelmed in thinking of
designing and creating our own website. It is understandable.
The best thing about hiring someone else to do the work is that you
get to pick and choose to do the parts that are exciting and fun for
you to do on your own and then hire the rest of the work out.
I am available to assist you in all or just part of creating your
website. Additionally, I have the experience necessary to coach you
and advise you in many ways along the journey. I will be honest
with you rather than just saying what I think you want to hear.
I am committed to supporting you in finding your unique expression
of your passion and your business in the world.
Here are some of the steps involved in creating and
maintaining a new website or current website:
Choose and purchase your domain name
Choose a webhosting service provider
Website layout and page creation
Content: Color scheme, photos and art, text
Search Engine placement, keywords and Meta Tags
Paypal payments, online store
Mp3 downloads, Podcasting, You Tube videos, Twitter, Facebook
Ongoing Updates
I am able to create and handle all of these steps for you and more.
And, I can teach you to do it for yourself in the future.
Fees and Payment:
I charge an hourly rate of $100.00. That said, I bill fairly - not just 'hourly'. There are many
aspects to web design that I feel I need to know myself and are not billable to my clients.
Although I know that other companies charge hefty fees for websites - I have never understood
why that is the case... think about it: websites are like fancy word documents sitting on the
internet! (Though I would never call my websites boring! They are artistic and beautiful)
It is hard to give an exact price on website creation. I have charged between $350 and $2500.00
for websites. Most people start out paying a small amount and then over time, build up more pages
and more content and so the cost goes up. It really depends on your knowledge base and how well
prepared you are, what kind of support you need, and what information you have pulled together
yourself. As a guideline, we should be able to set up your domain name, create the design for the
entire site and create at least one great webpage for $250 - $350. Since future webpages are
usually a replica of the first one with different content, you can expect to pay less for the other
pages since we've already done the hard part. (I am assuming you know a little about computers,
that you have a sense of what your website will look like, and can manage to write some of your
own text here). Once we have your site set up, if you need changes made periodically, I can do that
for you or I can teach you how to do it.
I like to be paid on a regular basis, and I bill for work performed every two weeks. I appreciate
your prompt payment, especially since I deliver before I am paid in most cases.
I accept checks or paypal.
Trading Services with other Professionals
I don't trade with clients for services as a rule. The exception is when I already have a working
relationship with a person and then I will consider trading. Since this is one of the ways I make my
living, I am unable to trade more than one or two hours.

"The website Robin
designed for me doesn't
look the way
I'd imagined...it looks
better! Robin created what
feels to me like my "virtual
home" -- a site that really
does feel like who I am,
spiritually and
aesthetically.
It was amazing to watch
my website become real in
her capable hands. It
visually expresses the yoga
experience that I offer my
clients, and I am not just
satisfied with, but inspired
by, my internet presence,
thanks to Robin."
